The Shoreham, the first luxury rental tower completed at Lakeshore East on the emerging New East Side, has captured the coveted “2007 Apartment Community of the Year” award, giving The Shoreham the official title of the best apartment community in the nation from the National Apartment Association (NAA). In addition, The Shoreham was also awarded the NAA Paragon Award for the best high-rise community in the nation built after the year 2000, over 150 units. To qualify for the award the property, which is leased and managed by NNP Residential, was previously named winner of the 2006 Property Excellence Award by the Chicagoland Apartment Marketing and Management Excellence (CAMME) Awards, which are sponsored by the Chicagoland Apartment Association. “We are proud to have won this award on both the national and local level,” said Robin Loewenberg Berger, president of NNP Residential.
In addition to its 2006 national and local property excellence awards, The Shoreham received eight CAMME awards in 2005. Those awards were for The Shoreham’s leasing center, brochure and direct mail programs and four design awards for furnished display models.
Both local and national awards recognize owners and associates who make significant contributions to apartment marketing and management through exemplary achievements.
Described as a growing village in the heart of the city, Lakeshore East, rising near the confluence of Lake Michigan and Chicago River on the New East Side, was recently named Development of the Year by the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association.
The frequently-awarded Shoreham is a 46-story residential tower offering 548 luxury apartments ranging from studios and convertibles to one- and two- bedrooms of up to 1,300 square feet. Lakeshore East is one of the largest central-city urban developments underway in any major U.S. city.
